S383 LT1?

I just ran some quick numbers, solely from Summit Racing.
Trick Flow 430HP top end rebuild kit with this TF cam:
Duration 219/227 (280/296), Lift .530/.530, is $2500. That’s just the top end, and assuming the stock LT1 bottom. Sounds pretty awesome.

Here’s the fun (scary?) part. Tossing some random numbers in, I came up with a parts list of about $780 for a 383 stroker kit. There’s a rotating assembly specifically for an LT1 for less than 800. This doesn’t include things like bearings and such, possibly not even fasteners. Also, I’d have to add in shop time for balancing and all that. But really? $1000 to push 500 at the crank? 15% driveline losses give 425hp to the wheels….
